Every computer faciliated through SBBS is subject to our Standard Configuration Package.
Bundled advertisements include this
package in the price already. SBBS does NOT sell Dell equipment without a configuration package.

All additional installations/configurations/labor will be billed per hour at the rates specified in the Consulting Agreement.
What Is Norton Ghost
Norton Ghost is a program which allows SBBS to burn your entire hard drive to cd(s). This means in the event the machine needs to be rebuilt due to data corruption, a virus, and/or hardware failure, this task can easily be accomplished by using the Norton Ghost Restore CD's to restore the image from the cd(s) to your hard drive.
There are two (2) options available. Ghost Before and Ghost After. The Before process is done after your windows and office is configured, patched, updated. This is BEFORE any additional applications are loaded. The After process is done after the computer has been configured with all software and hardware installed by SBBS on SBBS's premises. The image contained on the After cd(s) is exactly what was on the hard drive when the computer was delivered to your location.
We offer both processes for a couple of reasons. In the event you get newer programs a year down the road, and there are issues where you need to restore the machine due to file corruption, installation damage, etc. the BEFORE process allows you to go back to an image from before the older applications were loaded. Without the BEFORE image, you would need to uninstall the old versions and then re-install the new versions. Sometimes there are issues with this. The BEFORE process is very helpful in the event during program installation, something goes wrong (i.e. program does not install properly and corrupts windows). Although this is NOT common, it has been known to happen. If this happens, and no BEFORE Ghost was done, the options are to re-do the machine which takes approximately four (4) hours, OR return the machine to Dell and await a replacement. If a rebuild is required, you will be billed for all labor performed. The AFTER Ghost can be utilized at anytime to restore the machine to the exact state it was in when it left SBBS.
A Ghost Software License is required for each machine ghosted, NOT for each ghost process for the same machine.
What Is PcAnywhere
PcAnywhere is a communications utility program which allows SBBS to remotely login to your computer via your internet connection for support and maintenance issues. This option greatly reduces travel costs and allows SBBS to provide the assistance required more effectively. High speed internet is recommended for maximum performance.
